Engagement Opportunities

Drop-off Volunteer needed near Horgen

We’re looking for a volunteer to receive donations on the Silver Coast, ideally in Horgen. This is a time commitment of 6-10 hours per month.

You would help Zharity collect donations by:

Responding to donors and coordinating a drop-off time
Receiving and holding donations for a couple of weeks (at most)
Coordinating with a volunteer driver to collect from your location

If you have a bit of extra storage space and live on the Silver Coast near Horgen, we would love to hear from you! Contact us for more details.

Pad Project Sign Up

The sign up sheet for this fall’s pad project material prep sessions are now live! Register here to join us for a session.

No sewing experience is required for the material cutting sessions, but if you do sew, you’re welcome to help sew the pads together.

October Lunch and Learn for New and Existing Members

We are hosting an Online Lunch and Learn on October 8, 2025 at 12:00PM. This is an opportunity to learn more about Zharity and our open volunteering opportunities, and to have your questions answered. Whether you are an existing volunteer and/or verein member or are new to Zharity and want to learn more, we welcome you to join us. Click here to register.

Fall and Winter Clothing Donations

We are now open for Fall and Winter donations! Check our Partner Wishlist to see what items we are currently looking for, and be sure to check out this blog post about how to make your donation as impactful as possible!

Please note, we cannot accept out of season (Spring and Summer) clothing. Also, due to a surplus we are not currently accepting women’s and children’s clothes.

Did you know that Zharity is listed as an approved non-profit organization with Benevity? What does this mean for you?

Volunteer Hours: If your company makes donations for your volunteer work, please log your Zharity volunteer hours with Benevity.
Donation Match: If your company offers donation matches, please make your Zharity donation payment through Benevity for maximum impact.

We’re thrilled to extend a heartfelt thank you to Baabuk for their generous donation of close to 300 pairs of woolen shoes and slippers to Zharity.

Thank you to our Corporate Partners

Our Zharity Corporate Partners have been busy the last few months! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to them for their hard work.

Teams from AXA XL, Celonis, Goldman Sachs, Google, and Okta helped clean up the Zürich lakeside, clearing over 100 kg of trash!

Zimmer Biomet and Citi organized major clothing collections. Their collections helped to provide much-needed clothing and items to many of our community partners.

Thank you to KPMG for hosting an essential hygiene kit making. The kits from this event were distributed to a community partner that supports the homeless.

We deeply appreciate these companies and their employees for their generous donations and ongoing support. Their contributions allow Zharity to continue helping organisations in need and bolstering the local community.
