Yes, that's right, we knit knockers!

Knitted knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery. They are a wonderfully soft and comfortable alternative to the classic prosthesis.

Knitted knockers is a global project, with over 200 groups worldwide. In 2016, Zharity started the Zurich chapter. We are all volunteer knitters and we organize regular Knit-ups to learn the skills of making a perfect knocker over coffee and a chat. We'd love to see you at our next knit-up, and you can also knit from the comfort of your own sofa!

Knitted Knockers FAQ

How do I join for a knit-up?

Sign up to our Knitted Knockers Zurich Facebook group or visit our website to get updates on the upcoming knit-ups. This is also the place to go to learn all about patterns and materials, start discussions and connect with other knitters. We hope to see you soon!

Sounds great, these knitted knockers! Where can I get a pair?

If you or anyone you know is interested in a pair of knitted knockers, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We provide the knitted knockers free to those requesting them.

If you are or you know a healthcare provider who would be interested to provide knitted knockers to their patients, we'd be very happy to hear from you!

I love your project but I can't knit. How can I help?

If you want to help us with a donation to cover the costs for the materials, you can donate here
