Meet the Board: Rebecca Jansen
Meet Rebecca Janssen
I am from Switzerland and grew up in Lugano, Ticino. In 2019, I moved to Zurich to pursue my studies, and since 2021 I have been working in the financial industry.
I am passionate about sports and staying active, especially running and Megaformer Pilates.
What personal experiences drew you to charity work?
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to participate in volunteer work in Sri Lanka. That experience deeply touched me and awakened a strong inner conviction that, throughout my life, I want to dedicate part of my time to supporting those who are less fortunate.
How did you get involved with Zharity?
When I decided to become actively involved in a charity in the city where I live, I came across Zharity during my online research. I was immediately impressed by the meaningful work they do and the tangible impact they create. It did not take long for me to feel inspired to join and contribute.
What projects are you currently working on?
Since January 2026, I have been serving on the Board as Treasurer. I am very much looking forward not only to contributing in this role, but also to participating in volunteering initiatives such as the “Essen für Alle” activities and connecting more closely with the Zharity community.
