Zharity Reusable Pad “Home Sewing Kits”

Zharity has recently initiated a new project to make reusable feminine hygiene pads for those in need.  Our first effort will support an agency that sends these pads already to women/girls in Cameroon.  This organisation also provides education to these same girls/women about menstruation.  Our goal is to provide 500 finished feminine pads for this organisation by Fall 2023.  

If you sew and would like to make pads on your home sewing machine this Summer to support this project, we would love your help!  We will offer “Home Sewing Kits''.  Each kit contains material to make 5 complete pads (minus the press snaps - we will add these later) as well as sewing instructions.  Materials  will all have been pre-cut, so all you will need to do is sew them and get them back to Zharity.  An envelope will be provided for you to drop off pads/mail in (at your own cost) after you are done sewing. 

If you are interested in receiving some of the “Home Sewing Kits”, there will be three pick up opportunities in late May/early June. Finished pads would need to be returned to Zharity no later than August 31st.  Due to the costs of the materials, we are asking for a 10 CHF per kit contribution.
