Volunteer Team Members Needed

Join our Zharity team and help us continue to grow. We are looking  for several volunteers to help us and to be part of a dedicated team of Zharity.  We require each of these volunteers to be Verein members and these are long term volunteer opportunities.

Social Media Coordinator:

6-10 hours a month

We are looking for a volunteer to help us maintain our various social media channels and to help implement a strategy to grow these channels.  This volunteer needs to already be well-versed on these tools.  This role requires about 6-10 hours a month, including:  

• Maintaining Linked In, Instagram and Facebook

• Updating LinkTree

• Scheduling all posts with input from Board/Project Leads

• Working with other team members to develop graphics and implement overall strategy

• Communicating/engaging with followers - replying to responses via Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook

Drop off Volunteer  (Looking for central Silver Coast; Altstetten)

6-10 hours a month (We are closed for collections all holidays)

We are looking for 2 volunteers; 1 who is centrally located on the Silver Coast; and another who is near Altstetten.  

• Respond to donors that would like to drop off donations

• Coordinate with donors to find a quick turnaround time

• Hold onto items for a couple of weeks (at most)

• Coordinate to drop off items on Wednesday mornings in Dübendorf or coordinate with a volunteer driver to collect from your location

City Driver

4-8 hours a month

Zharity is looking for volunteer drivers that can help on a regular basis in the Zurich City area:  You will need your own car, valid license and insurance. We also require a driver’s waiver form completed.

• Pick-up from one or more of our donation sites.

• Drop off at our unit in Dübendorf on Wednesday morning

• Drop off items at community partners 

• Pick up from corporate partners

• Participate in an event as the driver - Pick items up from our unit and attend event and bring items back to unit or partner organisation

Event/Project Co-Leads

10-20 hours per  month, depending on the event.

These volunteers will be responsible for planning and executing Zharity events, which may include community initiatives such as kit-making events or pad project events, as well as leading events in collaboration with our corporate partners.
