Pad Project Spring 2026 Material Prep Wrap Up
On Wednesday, 20 May, we held our second open pad cutting event for the Zharity Pad Project 2026. Held at the lovely Café Fischvogel in Zumikon, a venue kindly offered to us by Mari, who cooks Mexican food there every Wednesday, we had another productive, but fun, event with our volunteers. In the allotted 2 hours, we managed to cut 128 pads worth of cotton, 128 of towel material and 95 water resistant pieces, again demonstrating what can be achieved with a lot of goodwill in a short space of time.
Huge thanks to all of those who attended and generously volunteered their time and to Café Fischvogel for the use of their space and Mari’s delicious food!
The cut material will now be given to our volunteer sewers to stitch. We are always looking for volunteer sewers to assist with this project, so if you have a sewing machine and would like to help please do get in touch. If you’d rather sew in a group or don’t have a machine, consider joining one of the Zharity Community Sewing sessions hosted by Knit Sew at their studio in Zollikerberg.
