Lifecycle of your Donated Item at Zharity

Zharity’s Redistribution Process relies on the power of community support. We collect gently used items from individuals and community members to redistribute them to those who need them most. From refugees and women to youth with disabilities, our mission ensures that no one in our community goes without the essentials and items they need to thrive. Whether it's a refugee family starting over or a vulnerable woman looking for support, your donation brings hope and dignity.

The below chart shows the extensive nature of the Redistribution Process is - and every step along the way is supported by Zharity volunteers: from the collection of donated items in volunteer storage rooms/cellars, to pick up from designated volunteer drivers, to sorting of these items at our storage unit, cleaning and recycling when necessary.  This entire lifecycle usually only lasts a couple of weeks - from donation of an item from our community to delivery to one of our Community Partners who delivers it to a vulnerable person or family in need. We constantly update our Donation Wish List to ensure we only have items that our Community Partners need and want and to eliminate waste and time from our process.
