Pad Project Sewer Meet Up & Seeking New Sewer Volunteers
We recently had a lovely volunteer gathering with our amazing Pad Project sewing team, and it was such a joy to come together with so many dedicated and generous volunteers. These talented sewers continue to give their time, skills, and energy to support our Pad Project—and we are incredibly grateful for each of them.
Thanks to this committed group, we have now sewn close to 1,500 reusable pads to date! Each one represents care, dignity, and practical support for those who need it most. The impact of this project continues to grow because of the consistency and heart of our volunteers.
We are always looking for more sewers to join this wonderful community. If you are already a sewer, we are always looking for more volunteers. If you sew, but maybe do not currently have access to a sewing machine, or if you would like to sew in a group setting, one of our sewing volunteers, Katherine Hege from Knit-Sew, will be graciously hosting open pad sewing events at her sewing studio on some Monday mornings throughout the Spring. Her sewing studio is located in Zollikerberg.
Volunteer sign ups for future material preparation events will be coming in Spring - so keep an eye out to be part of this impactful project.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Pad Project—together, we are making a real difference, one stitch at a time. 💙
