Thank You to ICSZ!

The weeks before Christmas are a busy time of year for everyone, especially schools with end of term tests, report preparation, sporting events, and plays and concerts.

It was therefore an amazing achievement that during this busy time of year a group of students at ICSZ gave up their lunch break to come together to make 200 kits for children in need in Kanton Zürich. The kits, which will all be distributed locally, through Zharity’s trusted partners included toothpaste, toothbrushes, notebook, pencils, sharpener, eraser and more, all in a reusable drawstring bag. 

In addition, ICSZ organised a hygiene drive for Zharity collecting important hygiene items including shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorants. These important items which are crucial products for daily use can be too expensive for some people. These donations, which Zharity will re-distribute, will help people maintain their physical cleanliness thereby reducing the likelihood of health problems.

Finally, Zharity was delighted to be selected to be one of the recipients from the wonderful Christmas Market fundraising effort. 

A huge thank you to all the students who gave up their time to participate in the kids kit making event, families and students who donated hygiene items, and to the Parents Association and the PA Board for their ongoing support. A special thank you to Monica Pombinho who organised both the drive and the kit making event. 

ICSZ continues to make an important contribution to Zharity’s work and we truly appreciate the kindness and generosity of this community.
